Job summary

Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office seeks a Senior Attorney to represent children in dependency court. The attorney will develop case strategies, file pleadings, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to support timely permanency for each child.

Responsibilities include court appearances, investigations, and collaboration with staff and witnesses. Florida Bar admission and strong trial skills are required; remote work may be possible after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited school and Florida Bar membership.
• Two years of experience in dependency or related law with strong trial skills.
• Exception possible with approval from executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Represent and advocate for children in court and related proceedings.
• Investigate facts, file pleadings and motions, and prepare case strategies.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Collaborate with guardians ad litem staff, witnesses, and family members.
• Supervise and mentor other guardian ad litem attorneys as needed.
• Work under supervision of Managing Attorney and Circuit Director.
