State of Florida, Guardian ad Litem Office, 5th Circuit, seeks a Senior Attorney to represent abused and neglected children in dependency proceedings. The role involves independent case investigation, litigation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requires a law degree, Florida Bar admission, and two years in dependency or related law; strong trial skills preferred. Remote work flexibility may be available after onboarding for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in the Florida Bar.
• Two years of experience in dependency or related law; strong trial skills preferred.
• Florida Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Represent, advocate and negotiate for children inside and outside the courtroom as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Review case files, conduct independent investigations, develop legal strategies, file pleadings and attend hearings.
• Work with guardians ad litem staff, witnesses and children’s representatives to advance permanency and normalcy.
• Assist or supervise other Guardian ad Litem Attorneys and perform related duties as assigned.
