The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office in Florida seeks a Senior Attorney to represent children in dependency court, working on case strategy and trials as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will review case files, conduct investigations, file pleadings, and attend court hearings while collaborating with guardians ad litem staff and witnesses. This is a salaried, full-time role with potential for a remote schedule after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school and Florida Bar membership.
• Two years of experience in dependency or related law; strong trial skills preferred.
• Eligibility for admission to The Florida Bar if granted by the Executive Director or designee.

Responsabilités

• Represent the interests of children in court and negotiate case strategies with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Review case files, conduct independent investigations, and develop legal strategies.
• File pleadings and motions, and attend hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Work under the supervision of the Managing Attorney and Circuit Director.
• Collaborate with guardians ad litem and welfare professionals to achieve permanency and normalcy for the child.
