• Achieve or exceed assigned group room night, room revenue and banquet revenue goals.
• Proactively develop new business through prospecting, sales calls, referrals, networking and industry events.
• Manage assigned accounts and market segments, building relationships that generate repeat business and account growth.
• Lead the sales process from initial qualification through proposal development, site inspections, negotiation and contract execution.
• Develop compelling proposals that connect client needs with the hotel's accommodations, meeting venues and riverfront setting.
• Build productive relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, associations, third‑party intermediaries and Marriott sales partners.
• Identify opportunities to secure business during need periods and improve the hotel's competitive position.
• Share account development techniques and market knowledge with group sales colleagues.
