Job summary

FinTrust Connect Careers seeks a Group Portfolio Manager in Miami, FL to lead underwriting and ongoing credit administration for a Middle Market C&I portfolio. The role partners with Relationship Managers to deliver client service, manage credit risk, and mentor junior team members.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial banking experience, strong credit skills, and formal credit training to drive underwriting and portfolio management excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial banking experience.
• Formal commercial credit training required.
• Experience underwriting and managing Middle Market commercial credit relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial loan structuring.
• Strong financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and credit risk assessment skills.
• Knowledge of commercial lending documentation, covenant monitoring, and portfolio administration.
• Experience managing complex commercial loan portfolios throughout the credit lifecycle.
• MentoringAssociates or junior Portfolio Managers preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage underwriting and ongoing credit administration of a Middle Market portfolio focusing on C&I lending.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and industry trends to evaluate credit quality.
• Prepare credit underwriting packages, annual reviews, renewals, risk assessments, and portfolio reports.
• Lead portfolio management activities including covenant compliance, reporting collection, maturity management, and risk rating maintenance.
• Coordinate loan closing activities with internal teams to ensure timely execution.
• Review borrowing base availability, approve advances within authority, and support servicing requests.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to support client relationships and cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain accurate portfolio reporting, monitor credit quality, and identify emerging risks with mitigation strategies.
• Mentor Associates and Senior Associates, supporting underwriting development.
• Report toCommercial Banking leadership and collaborate with Credit Risk, Loan Operations, Treasury Management, and Portfolio Support.
