Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a principal groundwater scientist/engineer to lead quantitative hydrogeology work across the US and abroad. The role requires 15–20 years of experience, a MS in a related field, and a PE or RG/PG license. This full-time, on-site position in Reno, NV, includes field duties, reporting, and collaboration with clients and regulators. Travel 5–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• MS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered/Professional Geologist (RG/PG)
• Knowledge of environmental and water resources regulatory regime across the United States
• Proficient with Microsoft Office-based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Quantitative/qualitative interpretation of hydrogeologic systems and CSM development
• Remedial system design and evaluation
• Collection and analysis of groundwater data
• Preparation of technical reports, work plans, proposals, and presentations
• Production of figures, maps, and graphical data summaries
• Site characterization and remediation planning and oversight
• Field activities including soil borings and monitoring/remediation wells
• Travel as needed (5–20%)
