Job summary

CDM Smith in Florida is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist based in Northeast or Central Florida to direct water resources projects and groundwater systems across the region.

You will coordinate with civil, process mechanical, hydraulics, electrical and I&C disciplines, prepare technical reports and proposals, manage drilling and testing scopes, and mentor junior staff while ensuring client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Licensed Professional Geologist (ASBOG) with 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Direct groundwater systems including brackish groundwater supply, ASR, indirect potable reuse systems and Class I injection wells.
• Interfaces with civil, process mechanical, hydraulics, electrical and I&C disciplines during design development and construction activities.
• Prepares and/or manages technical reports, letters, memoranda, drawings, specifications, and proposals; develops technical scopes for drilling, sampling and testing work.
• Contributes to Technical Knowledge Management by developing white papers and technical design documentation.
• Maintains client, industry, and regulatory contacts; supports sales and proposal work; acts as primary external client contact.
• Mentors junior staff and oversees project work as needed.
