Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist based in Florida to lead groundwater projects and manage groundwater systems across the region. The role involves coordinating with civil, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, and I&C disciplines through design and construction phases, and preparing technical reports and proposals.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, support budget scoping, and help develop master planning and detailed designs for groundwater systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related discipline.
• Registration as a licensed Professional Geologist, as certified by ASBOG.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Frequency of travel contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and essential functions of the position.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Direct water resources projects and groundwater systems across the region.
• Interface with civil, process mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, and I&C disciplines during design development and construction activities.
• Prepare and manage technical reports, letters, memoranda, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
• Ensure firm policies are followed on all work documents.
• Develop scopes of work for drilling, sampling, and aquifer and geophysical testing.
• Contribute to knowledge management by developing white papers and design documentation.
• Maintain client contacts and participate in professional organizations; present publications at events.
• Collaborate with sales to create proposals in response to client requests.
