Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Ground System Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer III to join the New Shepard program. You will lead design and development of subsystems for ground test operations, building and analyzing fluid and mechanical systems for propellant delivery, handling, and testing.

Based in Van Horn, TX or Kent, WA, you will mentor junior engineers, perform advanced analyses, and collaborate with subsystem owners to ensure safe, reliable test facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years in fluid/mechanical systems or test operations.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering analysis tools.
• Knowledge of ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3 and aerospace fluid specs.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead design of subsystems for ground test operations.
• Build and analyze fluid and mechanical systems for propellant delivery and testing.
• Review builds and mentor junior engineers.
• Implement test systems including cryogenics and vacuum systems.
• Develop test requirements and safe operation procedures for hazardous propellants.
• Collaborate with subsystem owners to ensure coordinated functionality.
