Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Ground Test Composites Repair Engineer to lead repairs of ground test equipment, evaluate damage, and develop restoration methods to meet original specifications.

You will quote repairs, oversee execution, and travel up to 50% to support on-site work, collaborating with customers and production teams to ensure compliance with established engineering standards.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
• STEM advanced degree with minimum 10 years experience.
• Strong problem identification and solution skills.
• Strong project ownership and execution.
• 10 years experience with composite manufacturing processes.
• Experience with fiber-reinforced polymer composites (fiberglass/aramid/carbon prepregs).
• Experience with advanced composites and bonded structures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate damage to ground test equipment during normal use and develop repairs to restore the parts to original/acceptable conditions.
• Engage with customers to scope and inspect damage before quoting and part arrival on site.
• Develop project schedule and cost to support quoting all repair jobs.
• Communicate and present technical information to internal and external customers.
• Develop repairs, work instructions, and identify materials to support repair jobs.
