Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Test Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate automated test systems for aerospace hardware and avionics. You will lead test procedures, fixture design, and LabVIEW/TestStand sequence development to ensure functional and certification compliance.

The role requires hands-on testing experience, knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and collaboration with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive reliable test results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with NI TestStand and LabVIEW for automated test systems.
• Strong foundation in electrical/electronics fundamentals and signal measurement.
• Experience operating test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, data acquisition).
• Experience developing test procedures for aerospace hardware and qualification environments (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems for aerospace hardware and avionics.
• Create test plans for unit, subsystem, and system-level testing including vibration and thermal tests.
• Build custom test fixtures and interface hardware for automated testing.
• Develop LabVIEW modules and TestStand sequences with instrument drivers.
