Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to lead the planning, execution, and analysis of development and verification tests for complex mechanical and aerospace systems. This role is onsite in Mukilteo, WA and involves partnering with design, manufacturing, systems, and quality teams to ensure successful development programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in aerospace/defense or regulated programs.
• Experience leading development testing and supporting qualification/verification testing.
• Proficiency with test instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and test execution methodologies.
• Experience developing test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Strong analytical skills and data evaluation.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of development and verification testing for mechanical and aerospace systems.
• Design test approaches, methodologies, and strategies to validate performance against requirements.
• Develop test procedures, plans, work instructions and documentation.
• Support product development through lifecycle from concepts to production readiness.
• Configure instrumentation and analyze test results to support decisions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, systems, and quality teams.
