Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Ground Senior Ops Training Engineer - Level 4 in Aurora, CO. Lead the design and development of training products for mission operators, covering CONOPS, system design, and ground software.

Collaborate with SMEs, ensure on-time delivery, and support the Operations & Training Lead. The role requires Top Secret clearance eligibility, a STEM degree with substantial experience, and strong leadership, presentation, and agile skills.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain SCI
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years experience (6 with Master's; 4 with PhD)
• Experience developing training material using instructional design processes
• On-Console Command and Control Satellite Operations experience
• Strong presentation skills for diverse audiences
• Ground System troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Agile development
• Project management and scheduling experience
• Knowledge of Space Vehicle Health and Safety
• Satellite simulator and ground system experience
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Strong team leadership and collaboration
• Occasional travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and develop training products for mission operators.
• Ensure training products meet CONOPS, system design, and ground software requirements.
• Support day-to-day operations with the senior technical authority.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to deliver timely, quality training.
• Manage product backlog and iteration planning for training content.
• Coordinate with procedure developers for content input.
• Maintain high standards of operations and training in a fast-paced environment.
