Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 4 in Azusa, CA. The role supports a scrum team, defining product vision, backlog, and high-quality mission-focused software solutions in an Agile environment.

The candidate will work across disciplines, developing requirements and verification plans for Space Systems ground segment functions, with strong MBSE/CAMEO experience and space-domain knowledge. A TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years engineering experience OR
• Master's degree in STEM with 6+ years engineering experience OR
• PhD in STEM with 4+ years engineering experience
• Active SCI at time of application
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application and during start date
• 2+ years MBSE experience (CAMEO) or equivalent
• Experience with space-vehicle, command-and-control, mission management or software subsystems
• Experience with SW development lifecycle and REST/HTTP protocols

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of features for satellite ground systems domain
• Translate customer needs into digital artifacts for software implementation
• Support verification planning, test requirements, and product milestones
• Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews aligning with product vision
• Provide SME in Space-Vehicle C2 systems and collaborate with teams
• Conduct demos and briefings for customers and leadership
• Ensure integration with ground satellite software solutions
• Work with Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) and Agile processes
