Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of interconnection or power systems experience.
• Deep understanding of ISO/RTO processes and utility tariffs.
• Experience with CAISO is a plus.
• Experience with large-load interconnections (data centers), DER/BTM/hybrid systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Engineering technical lead for grid interconnection requirements on assigned projects.
• Translate IA, GIA, utility, ISO/RTO, and transmission-owner requirements into project engineering requirements; develop interconnection strategies across projects.
• Manage interconnection applications, studies, and agreements.
• Interface with utilities and ISOs/RTOs.
• Track milestones, timelines, and upgrade costs.
• Identify and mitigate interconnection risks.
• Maintain interconnection positions through COD.
• Track technical interconnection issues through resolution.
• Maintain traceability between study assumptions, equipment selection, final design, commissioning settings, and as-built configuration.
