Job summary
Invenergy LLC, based in Chicago, seeks a Senior Engineer Interconnections & Grid Analysis to perform technical analyses for interconnection processes of generation projects. Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with focus on power systems.
- 3+ years in transmission system planning, compliance and operations.
- FERC/NERC standards knowledge including OATT is a plus.
- ISO/RTO or Utility interconnection experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform power flow analysis and market evaluations for generation/transmission development.
- Provide grid planning and congestion evaluation for PJM, NYISO, and ISONE.
- Review transmission expansion plans and interconnection studies (feasibility, impact, stability).
- Identify opportunities for new transmission projects based on generation shifts.
- Develop conceptual designs of interconnection facilities and related costs.
