Job summary

Solar Provider Group is seeking an experienced grid and interconnection analytics lead to own SPG's interconnection analytics across DG solar, BESS, and utility-scale storage in North America. You’ll develop data tools, run screening, and work with utilities to advance interconnection applications.

The role requires strong technical and commercial acumen, experience with interconnection rules, and the ability to translate study results into business cases for solar and storage projects.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years’ experience in interconnection, distribution or transmission planning, or grid analytics.
• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE/P.Eng./EIT is a plus.
• Experience with interconnection processes in the US; knowledge of PJM/MISO is a plus.
• Strong data skills: Python and SQL; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Identify regions within utility territories with hosting capacity and favorable queue conditions.
• Run screening-level power-flow analyses and manage studies as needed.
• Prepare pre‑applications and applications; advise strategy and viability.
• Translate interconnection costs and timelines into inputs for financial models.
• Own interconnection data accuracy across SPG’s systems and reporting.
