Job summary

Solar Provider Group (SPG) seeks an experienced grid and interconnection analytics professional to own SPG’s interconnection analytics for DG solar, BESS, and utility-scale storage. You will build tools, run hosting-capacity analyses, and coordinate with utilities and internal teams to advance project viability and cost-effective interconnection strategies.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6 years in interconnection or grid analytics, a power-systems background, and strong data skills (Python/SQL).

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in interconnection, grid analytics, or related development work.
• Strong analytical and data synthesis to support business cases.

Responsibilities

• Identify hosting capacity regions and run power-flow analyses.
• Screen interconnection points and manage pre-applications and filings.
• Coordinate with utilities, engineers, and land teams on viability.
• Develop interconnection cost and timeline benchmarks and inputs for models.
• Translate interconnection data into inputs for SPG project valuations.
• Support strategic decisions and participate in interconnection working groups.
