Job summary

Hark is building advanced, multimodal AI hardware and software. The Embedded Software team seeks a Senior/Staff Graphics Engineer to own the display graphics stack, co-own kernel GPU driver and userspace graphics, and build rendering/UI frameworks for resource-constrained devices.

You will work with Design and UX to bring real designs to the device at full fidelity, optimize the graphics pipeline for performance, and define development, testing, and CI practices across the graphics stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of graphics or UI engineering experience.
• Hands-on Vulkan and OpenGL ES with shader authoring (GLSL/SPIR-V).
• Experience with vector graphics rendering and animation.
• Background in embedded/resource-constrained systems (RAM/GPU).
• Strong C++ and Linux userspace development.
• Experience owning a UI framework or rendering engine.
• Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Own Display & Graphics stack: design, develop, and maintain the display pipeline across embedded platforms.
• Collaborate with Design and UX to render real designs at full fidelity on device.
• Performance Optimization: analyze and optimize graphics pipeline for low latency and memory efficiency.
• Establish practices for graphics development, testing, performance regression, and CI.
