Job summary

Rutgers University is seeking a Grants & Contracts Analyst III for the Military Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The role supports grant proposal prep, budget monitoring, and compliance with state/federal rules.

Will work as a financial liaison, manage invoices and progress reports, and track milestones with the Principal Investigator. The position is full-time with 37.5 hours, and may be eligible for remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field plus one year of relevant experience.
• Ability to clearly explain budget rules and financial concepts to program managers and leadership.
• High attention to detail in tracking restricted funds and funder deadlines.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Tableau, and financial/BI software.

Responsibilities

• Assist PI in preparation and submission of grant proposals ensuring compliance with funder guidelines.
• Oversee pre- and post-award financial management for grants and contracts.
• Review and monitor budgets to ensure proper fund allocation.
• Serve as financial bridge between program operations and management.
• Submit invoices and progress reports to funding agencies timely.
• Monitor progress of funded projects with PI to ensure milestones and budgets.
