Rutgers University’s School of Public Health (RBHS) in Piscataway, NJ is hiring a Budget Analyst II to manage pre‑award proposals, monitor post‑award activity, and support SPH’s annual operating budget. You’ll collaborate with ORSP, DCGA, and faculty to ensure timely, compliant financial reporting across grants and contracts.

The role involves preparing accounting entries, conducting account analysis, and assisting with monthly reconciliations, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, plus two years of professional budget and fiscal record maintenance experience.
• Understanding of grant applications and agency rules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel required.
• Position housed in Piscataway, NJ and may require travel to Newark.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation and submission of SPH grant and contract proposals, including multi-project and multi-institutional efforts.
• Review grant proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with funding agency policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws for grant implementation.
• Maintain proficiency in RAPSS submission system, IRB policies, and related procedures.
