Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a Grant Accountant to provide financial, accounting and administrative support for grant and contract policies and post-award administration.

You will prepare reports, monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with agency regulations, while coordinating with the Grants and Contracts office. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and proficiency in Workday grants management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years of grant/contract accounting experience.
• Experience with Workday grants management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare external financial reports according to agency guidelines monthly.
• Review expenditures to ensure adherence to agency regulations.
• Prepare journal entries and cost transfers for project accounts.
• Create monthly invoices for external sponsoring agencies.
• Monitor grant expenditures and assist in budget reallocation within guidelines.
