Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or related field; Master’s preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience; public accounting or services preferred
• Experience with governmental, tribal, and not-for-profit organizations preferred
• Experience with grant management, internal control reviews or assessments, and/or internal audit
• Experience with Single Audits and federally funded programs preferred
• Professional designation (CPA, CIA, CGMA, CFE, etc.) preferred
• Familiarity with GAGAS/Yellow Book, Uniform Guidance, IIA standards preferred

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and execute grant compliance monitoring activities, including monitoring programs and subrecipient performance
• Perform and lead grant compliance reviews and develop actionable findings and recommendations and assist clients through their implementation activities
• Perform and lead internal control reviews, internal audits, and operational assessments
• Develop and enhance policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls based on organizational needs
• Conduct interviews, review documentation, perform analyses, and prepare client deliverables
• Collaborate with clients to understand current accounting and business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical solutions
• Communicate project status, issues, and results to engagement team members and client stakeholders
• Provide guidance to and review the work of junior team members to support high-quality and timely project delivery
