Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior to join our Compliance Advisory team. You will provide advisory and consulting services to governmental, tribal, private, and not-for-profit organizations, focusing on grant management, compliance, and internal controls.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or related field; Master’s in Accounting, MBA, or MPA preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience; public accounting or professional services experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with grant management, compliance activities, internal control reviews or assessments, and/or internal audit.
• CPA, CIA, CGMA, CFE, or other relevant professional designation preferred.
• Familiarity with GAGAS/Yellow Book, Uniform Guidance, and IIA standards preferred.
• Understanding of the financial, compliance, and operational environments of governmental and not-for-profit organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, exercise professional judgment, and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce client-facing deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Support project planning and execute grant compliance monitoring activities, including monitoring programs and review of subrecipient performance.
• Perform and lead grant compliance reviews, evaluate documentation, and develop findings and recommendations; assist clients through implementation.
• Perform and lead internal control reviews, internal audits, and operational assessments; evaluate processes, risks, controls, and improvements.
• Develop and enhance policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls based on needs and leading practices.
• Conduct interviews, review documentation, perform analyses, and prepare client deliverables including findings and reports.
• Collaborate with clients to understand current accounting and business practices; develop practical compliance solutions.
• Communicate project status, issues, and results to team members and client stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to and review the work of junior team members to support timely, high-quality delivery.
