Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Staff GPU RTL Design Engineer to advance power management and RTL blocks for next‑generation mobile GPU IPs. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, drive microarchitecture decisions, and deliver scalable, production‑ready RTL across IP generations.

The role requires extensive RTL experience, Verilog/SystemVerilog proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power management or low power microarchitecture design for complex SoC, CPU, or GPU architectures.
• Hands-on experience in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog, including microarchitecture development, integration, and debug.
• Familiarity with IP power sequencing, clock/reset control, clock domain crossing, and DVFS.
• Proficiency with Python or Perl scripting for automation and tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of power management/SoC interface RTL blocks and subsystems for mobile GPU IPs.
• Collaborate with hardware and software design teams and SoC engineers to enable power management features in production.
• Translate architectural specs into efficient RTL and validate through synthesis, integration, and debug.
• Participate in microarchitecture definition and RTL implementation across multiple IP generations.
• Drive design quality, robustness, and cross-block problem solving with verification teams.
