Samsung is seeking a Senior/Staff Physical Design Engineer to drive physical implementation for high-performance GPU IP. You will partner with hardware and system teams to execute synthesis through signoff, focusing on PPA across advanced nodes.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, scripting, and flow improvements, with collaboration across global teams to deliver robust GPU blocks and reliable signoff. Austin-based role with global impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's in CS/CE, or 4+ years with a Master's, or 2+ years with a Ph.D.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with physical design flows, including synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and signoff support.

Responsabilités

• Support synthesis through signoff in physical design flows.
• Assist floorplanning, placement, and routing of GPU blocks.
• Help with STA-driven optimization and DRC/LVS convergence.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve design productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
