Job summary

Genentech, a member of the Roche group, seeks a Senior Scientist to drive GPCR-based assay development and lead cross-functional teams in Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology.

You will oversee in vitro pharmacology to advance lead candidates in cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic disease areas, and develop advanced assays (cAMP, calcium flux, BRET/FRET, Beta-arrestin). Relocation benefits available.

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field.
• Hands-on GPCR signaling knowledge and receptor theory.
• Experience with diverse GPCR assay platforms (cAMP, calcium, BRET/FRET, Beta-arrestin).
• Lead and mentor scientists in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with primary cells and gene-editing (CRISPR).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of complex GPCR pharmacology assays.
• Oversee in vitro pharmacology characterization to advance lead candidates.
• Provide scientific mentorship and strategic guidance to project teams.
• Communicate findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
