Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to guide GovTech ISVs in reimagining their software on AWS. You’ll lead architectural deep dives, run discovery with ISV teams, and help turn prototypes into compliant production solutions while focusing on generative AI and agentic architectures.

You will work with leaders and engineers of ISVs whose software supports critical public services, including dispatch and regulatory processes, and you will travel up to 30% as needed to

Qualifications

• 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent) and interplays of data stores
• Experience leading engineering discussions and architectural trade-offs

Responsibilities

• Guide ISV architecture decisions across compute, data, networking, identity, and databases
• Run discovery with ISV teams to understand platform constraints and requirements
• Lead generative AI work on Bedrock: agentic patterns, RAG, guardrails and responsible AI practices
• Help ISVs turn AI prototypes into production systems meeting public sector requirements
• Modernize legacy platforms onto AWS with phased strategies like strangler fig and replatforming
• Explain how compliance shapes architecture in regulated environments (CJIS, StateRAMP, FedRAMP, HIPAA)
• Communicate decisions to ISV CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and government CIOs
• Advise on AI-assisted development tools (Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate teams
