Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Senior AWS Specialist Solutions Architect to design and guide GenAI architectures for public sector customers, driving strategic initiatives and complex cloud-based solutions.

You will lead design sessions, advise on model selection and responsible AI, and collaborate with sales teams to accelerate deals. The role includes speaking at conferences and creating knowledge resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 8+ years in technology domains (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience communicating with executive stakeholders or clients.
• Cloud Certification such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering.
• Knowledge of AWS services, cloud architecture and market segments.
• Experience in a sales environment with technical roles.
• Knowledge of foundation model selection, deployment, guardrails, and RAG.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor on Generative AI solutions for public sector customers.
• Lead architecture design sessions, technical deep-dives, and PoC engagements for GenAI opportunities.
• Provide expert guidance on GenAI architectures, model selection, fine-tuning, RAG patterns, and responsible AI.
• Partner with account teams to accelerate sales cycles with GenAI domain expertise.
• Present at AWS events and conferences on GenAI topics for EDU/SLG/XTECH customers.
• Publish external content (blogs, whitepapers, demos) showcasing GenAI best practices.
