You will partner with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking, compliance with FAR, and timely financial deliverables across multiple locations.

This regular full-time role offers exposure to federal programs within a national engineering and consulting firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 9+ years of project/contract administration experience.
• Associate degree with 7 years, or bachelor's with 5 years government accounting experience.
• Knowledge of job costing, contract file administration, project revenue recognition, government program billing and collections, and the FAR.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contracts and documents; prepare complex business communications.
• Ability to present information to senior leadership and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
• Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and to prepare graphs and tables.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Contract administration for government projects of high complexity; advise Project Managers on financial matters.
• Interpret contract terms and establish accurate project and contract information in the accounting database.
• Generate and review pre-billing reports for accuracy; prepare complete draft and final invoice packages.
• Coordinate PM review of draft invoices and attach supporting documentation; include revenue recognition support.
• Assess project revenue and cost calculations and record approved adjustments.
• Prepare project financial data, including schedules and cost tracking; identify variances.
• Communicate with PMs and Directors regarding contract documents and billing requirements.
