Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Government Project Accountant to manage contract administration and financial control for complex government projects in multiple offices, including Blue Bell, PA and Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher with required years of experience in project or contract administration.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent required; minimum five years gov accounting experience.
• Knowledge of job costing, government program billing, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts and prepare complex business communications.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; experience with BST or a similar accounting system.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract administration for government projects and advise on financial matters.
• Prepare and review invoices, revenue recognition, and cost calculations.
• Monitor budgets, track changes, and prepare variance analyses.
• Lead reporting and data collection using Excel and SQL queries.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA and applicable federal/state laws.
• Manage branch accounting staff and oversee monthly processes.
