Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Procurement Administrator to support Federal Government Prime Contracts. This fully remote role within the US focuses on sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement across a major program and additional initiatives.

The candidate should bring deep knowledge of FAR/DFAR, CPSRs, and contractor performance management, with a proven ability to work across internal and external teams while meeting tight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years government procurement experience (or Master’s with 6+ years).
• 8+ years of experience in US Government procurement.
• Excellent knowledge of the FAR/DFAR.
• Experience complying with CPSRs policies and procedures.
• Experience procuring materials with emphasis on negotiation, PO administration, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of federal procurements and negotiation techniques.
• Strong business acumen and leadership.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARs and agency regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and communicate effectively in a team environment with stakeholders.
• Coordinate procurement activities with program operations and cross-functional teams.
• Implement procurement policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze market trends to identify savings opportunities and supplier performance.
• Assist in preparation of RFPs and bid packages.
• Source, negotiate, and purchase services and goods.
• Analyze suppliers for price, quality, and timelines.
