Job summary

Verito Solutions in Lansing, MI seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale IT and organizational initiatives for a government program. You will work with technical teams, agency executives, and business stakeholders in a hybrid onsite/remote environment to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

You will manage multiple concurrent efforts, drive change management, oversee vendor interfaces, and ensure adherence to project management methodologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 8+ years of experience managing projects with budgets greater than $20 million.
• 8+ years of experience managing IT projects within large, complex enterprise environments.
• 8+ years of experience managing vendors and/or third-party solution providers.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects and driving successful completion with minimal supervision.
• Experience managing diverse stakeholders, system owners, and business owners across departments.
• Experience managing multi-vendor environments within government organizations.
• Experience providing project management services for IT projects involving Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technologies.
• Experience overseeing technical teams responsible for system architecture and integration across SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Use project portfolio management tools (Clarity) to prepare project schedules, assign resources, and manage budgets.
• Prepare presentations for various audiences, including executives, managers, and project team members.
• Monitor, control, and communicate project progress by actively managing cost, schedule, scope, resources, quality, and risks.
• Ensure clear, timely, and accurate communication with stakeholders, project sponsors, team members, program managers, and management.
• Provide leadership and foster collaboration between technical and business teams by obtaining consensus and gaining commitment.
• Manage and communicate project interfaces involving multiple departments and agencies.
• Ensure projects adhere to established project management methodologies and lifecycle processes.
• Facilitate and enforce the Change Management process, ensuring appropriate approvals for changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Understand project benefits and evaluate the impact of change requests on business cases.
• Ensure all project documentation and artifacts are updated accordingly.
• Review and understand vendor contracts while actively managing vendor deliverables and approval procedures.
• Facilitate stakeholder interactions by clarifying expectations and ensuring deliverables are assigned, reviewed, and completed.
