Job summary

AlphaHire is seeking a Strategic Senior Advisor with deep government contracting experience to guide our expansion into federal, state, and local markets.

You will provide strategic counsel, help shape capture plans, evaluate opportunities, and advise on when to prime or partner, while keeping overhead lean and focused.

The role is advisory and non-operational, with periodic conversations, high-level reviews, and introductions as appropriate to unlock meaningful public-sector work.

Qualifications

• Experience in federal, state, or large municipal government contracting.
• Proven ability in capture strategy and opportunity qualification.
• Experience evaluating RFx and making bid/no-bid decisions.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and procurement processes.
• Experience with government contract vehicles (IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, GSA schedules).
• Ability to lead prime/subcontractor and teaming initiatives.
• Strong agency relationship development and contract compliance track record.

Responsibilities

• Provide periodic strategic conversations and decision reviews.
• Review selected opportunities and advise on approach.
• Make introductions where beneficial to secure engagements.
• Identify capabilities needed before pursuing large contracts.
• Help build capabilities without creating excessive overhead.
