Job summary

SES Space & Defense is seeking a Senior Specialist, Contracts to manage cradle-to-grave government contracts in a remote-ready role from the United States. You will handle proposals, negotiations, and compliance, interfacing with Government Officers and cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet terms and schedules.

You will review terms, draft and assemble contract packages, and support program leadership with risk assessment and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in contracts management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related federal regulations.
• Understanding of US Government contracting process including GSA schedules and sole source/competitive procurements.
• Knowledge of contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ) and cost/price analysis.
• Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication.
• NCMA membership is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard contract management tools.

Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors performance on government contracts with direct and indirect customers.
• Maintains relationships with Government Contract Officers and contract/subcontract managers.
• Assist with negotiation and administration of agreements ensuring policy compliance.
• Review solicitation terms, award confirmations, and amendments; identify issues.
• Provide contract guidance to program and operations managers; advise on terms and changes.
• Process contract deliverables and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Prepare NDAs, MSAs, SOs and other contractual documents.
• Participate in proposal reviews and management reviews of contracts.
