Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Contracts Principal to join the Strategic Proposal Team, supporting Federal Civilian agencies. This remote role requires hands-on drafting of critical contractual volumes, risk assessment, and executive-level collaboration across capture, pricing, and legal teams.

You will analyze solicitations, author NCAs and OCI mitigation plans, and coordinate with pricing and subcontracts to align terms with SAIC's risk posture. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years federal contracts management experience; Master's degree with 8+ years; PhD or JD with 5+ years experience.
• Demonstrated track record leading contractual strategy on high-dollar, complex federal bids, preferably within Federal Civilian agencies.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS, agency supplements, and federal procurement methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate contract terms through a risk/reward lens and communicate financial impact.
• Hands-on experience developing compliant, compelling cost narratives, OCI plans, and business volumes under tight deadlines.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategy, authoring, and review of critical contractual proposal volumes (Cost/Price Narratives, OCI Mitigation Plans, Total Compensation Plans, Reps & Certs).
• Conduct solicitation analysis to assess obligations, identify ambiguities, and advise on risk allocation and win strategies.
• Support pre-RFP shaping, author white papers, and negotiate teaming and NDA terms.
• Work with pricing to ensure compliance with instructions and policy; understand pricing models and submission files.
• Evaluate terms for financial impact and negotiate with government customers as needed.
• Lead negotiations with Federal Contracting Officers during pre-award discussions and contract modifications.
