Job summary

SES Space & Defense, a trusted partner to government and national security missions, seeks a Senior Specialist, Contracts to manage cradle-to-grave government contracts and deliverables. The role ensures compliance with FAR/DFARS, reviews solicitations, negotiates terms, and administers contracts across programs.

You will work with contract officers, assist with price proposals, and support the broader contracts team in a fast-paced environment while upholding SES values and mission integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in contracts management.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS and related federal regs.
• Understand US government contracting: GSA schedules, BPA, sole source, competitive procurements.
• Knowledge of contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ).
• Cost/price analysis experience.
• Knowledge of government property administration.
• Drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts and subcontracts.
• Attention to detail; strong communication; ability to work independently.
• NCMA membership desired; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors contract performance on government contracts.
• Maintains relationships with government contracting officers and managers.
• Assist with negotiation and administration of agreements per policy.
• Review solicitation terms and amendments; identify issues.
• Review documents for policy adherence; advise contract lead.
• Respond to inquiries on obligations and revisions.
• Fulfill contract deliverables; manage proposals and price analyses.
• Prepare NDAs, MSAs, SOs and other documents.
• Assemble contract documentation; participate in program reviews.
• Support surge workload and mentor other staff.
