Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager for Government Contracts in a hybrid role out of Windsor Locks, CT. The individual will manage complex contracts, advise on risk and intellectual property matters, and interact with senior leaders and customers.

The role requires a university degree with substantial experience in contracts, including FAR 15/12, and a track record in government contracting. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• FAR 15 and FAR 12 experience preferred.
• Government contracting and commercial item determinations experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Propose, negotiate, and execute contracts of moderate to high complexity.
• Review contractual documents, terms and conditions, lead contract flow down processes and other contract administration tasks.
• Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks, advise on intellectual property concerns and formulate and present recommendations.
• Draft formal correspondence to address contractual matters and aid in dispute resolution.
• Support audits and customer requests, as needed.
• Lead, prepare, and present various review packages to senior leadership and customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
