Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead contract negotiations for a mix of commercial and government programs. You will serve as the primary advisor, working with program management, finance, legal, engineering, and other stakeholders to support proposals, gate reviews, and contract execution.

The role emphasizes autonomy, mentoring junior contract professionals, and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and CUI.

Formación

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience.
• Alternatively, an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• 8+ years of US Government and Commercial contracting experience.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, export controls, and contract compliance.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations with minimal oversight.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary contractual advisor for assigned programs.
• Review, interpret, negotiate, and manage various contract types.
• Evaluate RFPs across commercial and government programs; identify requirements and risks.
• Lead negotiations for complex contracts with legal and SME input.
• Provide strategic guidance on contract strategy and risk posture.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and CUI requirements.
• Apply knowledge of fixed-price FAR items and related regimes.
• Mentor junior contract professionals and support cross-functional teams.
• Support proposals, gate reviews, and contract execution.
• Travel occasionally; onsite presence in Cedar Rapids.
