Job summary

FloridaCommerce in Tallahassee is seeking a Government Operations Consultant III to assist in the negotiation, development, and monitoring of contracts and grant agreements within the Commerce agency.

The role involves coordinating with General Counsel, Financial Management, Budget, and Executive Leadership to ensure compliance, prepare analyses, and track deliverables. A Level 2 background check is required and some travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret statutes, rules, and federal regulations and explain requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong customer service.
• Ability to compile data from multiple sources and present it logically.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and assist in negotiation of agreement changes and cost analyses.
• Develop contract and grant administration goals and procedures.
• Coordinate administration of bureau agreements and review processes with other offices.
• Create and manage budgets and deliverable schedules for contracts.
• Prepare cost/price analyses to ensure reasonableness and allowability.
• Provide consultative services to grantees/vendors on scope, budget, and timelines.
