Job summary

FloridaCommerce seeks a Government Operations Consultant III to oversee complex contract and grant management within the Community Development Block Grant program. The role requires independent judgment and strong compliance with federal and state requirements, with focus on sub-grant administration and program improvements.

You will negotiate amendments, monitor performance, and prepare analyses, reports and logs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in developing, administering and monitoring State and/or Federal grants and contracts.
• Knowledge of State purchasing procedures.
• Ability to coordinate and manage activities with partners.
• Ability to interpret statutes, rules and regulations and explain these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop contract and grant management resources, tools, and processes for the CDBG program.
• Lead team assignments and process improvements for the CDBG program.
• Manage federal sub-grants to local governments and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Conduct cost analyses, monitor sub-grants, and prepare closeout reports.
• Provide technical assistance to local governments and consultants.
