Job summary

Abridge is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel - Government Contracting to lead the government contracting program. The role partners with sales, security, product, and finance to draft, review, and negotiate complex government agreements while ensuring FAR compliance across agencies.

You will translate contract obligations into scalable internal processes, guide the lifecycle of government deals, and manage outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a legal role with at least 3 years advising on government contracting and related compliance.
• Translate contract obligations into internal processes and assess adherence to obligations.
• Comfort juggling tight timelines, competing priorities, and high volume of contracts.
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams, security, and sales.
• Familiarity with bid protest proceedings; healthcare or healthcare tech experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex government contracts, ensuring FAR and agency-specific compliance.
• Guide the product build and government contracting lifecycle from strategy to implementation.
• Collaborate with the commercial legal team to improve templates, playbooks, and processes.
• Support automation and efficiencies with Legal Ops.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments impacting decisions.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on complex or novel questions.
• Support other aspects of the commercial legal function when core work slows.
