Abridge seeks a seasoned attorney to lead government contracting and compliance work, partnering with sales, security, and product teams to draft and negotiate complex government contracts. You will guide contract lifecycle, ensure FAR compliance, and shape templates and processes for scalable government deals.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in legal roles with 3+ years in government contracting, plus a collaborative mindset and ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving healthcare

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a legal function with at least 3 years advising on government contracting and related compliance.
• Ability to translate contract obligations into internal processes and monitor adherence.
• Comfort with tight timelines, competing priorities, and high contract volume.
• Customer-service mindset and collaborative negotiation approach.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including security and sales.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex government contracts ensuring FAR compliance.
• Guide product build and government contracting lifecycle from strategy to implementation.
• Iterate templates and develop playbooks with the commercial legal team to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Legal Ops to drive automation and process improvements.
• Monitor regulatory developments impacting decisions and compliance.
• Manage outside counsel for novel contractual matters and complex issues.
• Balance core government work with other commercial legal duties as needed.
