Job summary

Gosnaphop in Tysons, VA is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to manage government contracting billing and cost accounting responsibilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience is required.
• Experience in government contracting environment strongly preferred.
• Experience in government contract billing, project accounting, corporate accounting, or related accounting functions.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong account reconciliation and month-end close experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• ERP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review customer invoices for Cost-Plus, Time & Materials, and fixed-price contracts
• Validate labor, subcontractor, and other direct costs for billing accuracy and contractual compliance
• Perform billing reconciliations and analyze unbilled receivables
• Assist with final invoices, final vouchers, and contract closeout documentation
• Monitor contract funding limitations and help resolve billing discrepancies
• Coordinate with Contracts and Program Management to support accurate and timely billing
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with balance sheet account analysis and financial statement reporting
• Support external audits and annual financial reporting requirements
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with company policies and internal controls
• Assist with annual Incurred Cost Submissions
• Support indirect cost rate calculations, reconciliations, and true-up analyses
• Apply FAR Part 31 principles when reviewing allowable and unallowable costs
• Prepare supporting documentation for DCAA audits and compliance reviews
• Assist with final indirect rate settlements and contract closeout activities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance processes
