Job summary

MIRACORP is seeking a Project Manager III to lead the full lifecycle of complex design and construction projects for government facilities in Kansas City. You will oversee planning, design, construction, and closeout while managing budgets, schedules, contractor performance, and customer expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of management experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems.
• Proficiency in project management principles, scheduling, cost estimating, reading construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, contracting staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management tools and estimating software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction and renovation projects from planning through closeout
• Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, and support procurement
• Oversee daily field operations as on-site construction manager or inspector
• Review and approve design documents, submittals, and cost estimates
• Coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, and government stakeholders
• Oversee commissioning, punch lists, and project turnover
• Evaluate construction quality across building systems (HVAC, BAS, electrical, fire, mechanical)
• Maintain project documentation and ensure code compliance
• Lead meetings, manage communication, and support customer relationships
• Travel to project sites as needed
