HITT Contracting is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Executive for our Government Business Unit, based at our Falls Church, Virginia headquarters. You will provide executive oversight for federal facilities, secure environments, and mission‑critical projects from preconstruction through turnover, mentoring leaders and driving client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor, including government/federal/secure or mission‑critical projects.
• Experience with public sector procurement processes, including technical proposal preparation and preconstruction.
• Design‑build experience is highly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple project teams and manage financial performance, schedules, contracts, and project risk.
• A four‑year degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or business is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety standards, policies, and quality expectations on government projects.
• Oversee multiple government projects and teams from preconstruction through turnover and closeout.
• Lead estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract negotiations, and risk management.
• Monitor project profitability, forecasts, schedules, and overall performance.
• Guide planning for projects with specialized security, access, and documentation requirements.
• Develop client and industry relationships, lead proposals and interviews, and secure new work within the government market.
• Mentor project managers and emerging leaders through coaching and guidance.
