Job summary

Rea is a growing Top 100 advisory and accounting firm providing services in tax, accounting, and business consulting with over 400 professionals across Ohio. The Senior Manager – Government Audit will oversee audit engagements for government entities, lead teams, ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB, and drive business development and practice growth.

The role involves coaching staff, managing client relationships, presenting audit results to stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Bachelors in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of public accounting or government audit experience.
• Licensed CPA or international equivalent.
• Experience supervising staff and leading engagements.
• WebGAAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage audit engagements for government entities.
• Lead audit teams and coach staff to improve performance.
• Plan, execute, and supervise government audits in line with GAAP, GASB, GAAS, and GAGAS.
• Manage client relationships and communicate audit progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure audit deliverables are accurate and compliant.
• Drive process improvements and staff training.
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing issues.
