Job summary

Rea is seeking a Senior Manager – Government Audit to lead government engagement audits, manage teams, and ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards. The role emphasizes client relationships, business development, and engagement profitability.

You will oversee audit planning, execution, and reporting for federal, state, and local clients, while coaching staff and driving quality improvements across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GASB/GAAS is essential.
• Proven communication and client-relations skills are required.
• Experience leading audit teams and coordinating government engagements is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates, Senior Associates and Supervisors on government audits.
• Plan, execute and oversee audits for federal, state, and local government entities.
• Coach and develop audit staff to improve performance and quality.
• Maintain client relationships and manage expectations throughout the engagement.
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and applicable standards.
