Job summary

BDO USA in Orlando, FL is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to perform and oversee the full cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients.

You will handle general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, project accounting, and close processes while ensuring GAAP and GovCon compliance, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements. Strong Excel and ERP experience expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and GovCon ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle accounting including GL, AP/AR, payroll.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP-compliant statements.
• Ensure contract accounting compliance and indirect rate management.
• Assist with project setup, funding, invoicing, and cost allocations.
• Mentor Associates and train on GovCon tools.
