Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to manage full cycle accounting for Government Contracting clients. You will oversee GL, payroll, AR/AP, and cost accounting while ensuring FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting with monthly closes, revenue recognition, budgeting, and contract accounting to support executive decision-making and profitability. CPA or CPA candidate preferred with strong Excel and GovCon ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Three+ years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience with GovCon ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee full cycle general accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management.
• Assist with close processes and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Support revenue recognition, contract accounting, and accounting policies per GovCon regulations.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and maintain a DCAA-compliant system.
• Assist with indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing.
